Health Care Beware - The Idea
No matter who you talk to there seems to be a consensus that health care is headed for big trouble. Everybody has his own idea of who or what to blame, and if they don't have a solution they at least have strong opinions as to what to avoid.
During the first term of President Clinton he and Mrs. Clinton made a big push to reinvent health care. It seems that I remember the President holding up a card at a State of the Union address and saying that all would have health care. The Republicans blocked it all and that's why I'm registered as an Independent now so I can complain about both parties.
Everyone points to their favorite demon to blame things on and then proceed to act in away so that no progress is made. Sure a Medicare Drug Discount Card was recently provided, but what a tiny step for a long journey. The Heritage Foundation liked it but what about those needing drugs that aren't on Medicare?
My hope in doing this site is to create a single reference point for those looking for answers. The 45 plus million uninsured will only grow and the funds to help them will probably continue to feel the budget squeeze at the federal and state level.
If you spot a good source of information on a particular solution please use the Contact Form and let me know so that it can be incorporated here.
As of January 2006 we will begin to promote a few companies who we feel have products or services that might fill our users needs. We will attempt to check these providers and make sure that they are the kind of folks that we can feel good about promoting. Should you find anything about them that adds to the health care problems we face please let us know. We want to be proud of our relationships here.
